In 2014 the school began the journey from an Ofsted judgement of Serious Weaknesses to what we aspire to becoming Outstanding. From this point, we have reviewed all systems and policies and have made significant changes in all areas of school life. We are very proud of what has been achieved and the achievements that are recognised in our 2016 Ofsted report where Leadership and Management and Post 16 were recognised as Good.
“The headteacher and senior leaders have tackled the significant weaknesses identified at the last inspection well. They have placed the school in a strong position to secure further improvement.”
We are far from complacent and have used this as a springboard for the next phase of development and change. We are expecting an Ofsted visit during 2018 and look forward to sharing how we have developed as a school since the last visit.
Exam performance has improved dramatically in recent years. Our Post 16 students are also achieving the best results the school has ever seen, exceeding national average. While we are proud of this improvement, we are far from complacent and will continue to raise achievement and secure the best possible outcomes for our students. Visit the Government Compare School Performance website for more information.
We are committed to offering a wider school experience and the achievements of our students beyond exam results can be seen on the school’s social media feeds.
