Before lockdown, students at Royds participated in the Green Tree Schools Award which encourages outdoor learning and inspires pupils about trees, woods, wildlife and the environment. I am delighted to report that Royds has been awarded the Gold Award for its good work in this area. Mr Thornton and his team of students have done a marvellous job in promoting the environment and are now working towards the Eco Schools award. Congratulations to the students and Mr Thornton.
