At Royds we want every student to feel safe, secure and happy at school. We recognise that every child is an individual and will have different needs at different times in their time with us. For this reason we have many different layers to our pastoral system and different specialist areas to support students.

We pride ourselves on the individual care and support that we can offer each student throughout their school life. Each year group has an allocated Progress Director, Pastoral Leader, a Learning Manager and a Form Tutor.

There are also several support mechanisms for students across the whole school. In addition to this we have the Safeguarding Team who will handle any child protection or safeguarding concerns.
