Royds School

Pupil Premium

Pupil Premium funding was introduced in 2011 to raise the attainment of disadvantaged pupils. Eligibility was initially based on income and receipt of free school meals but has now been extended to children who are looked after and children of service personnel.

We are committed to this and have a range of measures to enable students to access the wide range of provision at Royds and to support them in achieving their goals. We firmly believe there should be no barriers to success and so we use the funding to ensure that financial constraints do not limit the opportunities and life chances of our students.

The Governing Body monitor effective use of Pupil Premium funding and its impact on raising achievement. There is a designated member of the Senior Leadership Team with specific responsibilities for monitoring the use of Pupil Premium funding and assessing the impact.

You can view the schools Pupil Premium Statement and Year 7 catch up funding report below. Please note, the plan for 2020/21 is still being created and will be uploaded as soon as it is available.
